In the area of estate planning, our attorneys recognize the importance of personalized planning to develop a wealth distribution scheme that meets the client's individual needs. Our services range from routine wills to complex plans for large estates. Areas of emphasis include preparation of wills and trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives; administration of probate; generation-skipping transfer tax planning; business succession planning; and lifetime giving strategies, including family limited partnerships. Our federal tax law practice provides a valuable and wide range of service to our clients. On a continuing basis we represent numerous corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and individuals. We help clients structure transactions that meet their business objectives and comply with federal tax law while minimizing or eliminating any adverse tax consequences. Areas of emphasis are real estate transactions, including like-kind exchanges; pass-thru entities such as general and limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and S corporations; corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations; and exempt organizations. Our tax attorneys are actively involved in the Idaho State Bar Section of Taxation, Probate and Trusts, the American Bar Association Section of Taxation, and the Boise Estate Planning Council.
