Givens Pursley is pleased to announce that its partner Deb Kristensen Grasham has been elected to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Historical Society (“NJCHS”). The NJCHS is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and promote the vibrant history of the law in the Ninth Circuit and to raise awareness of the important role that the judicial system plays in our society.

The NJCHS takes its name from the U.S. Courts for the Ninth Circuit, the court circuit that adjudicates federal law in nine western states and the Pacific Islands—Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam.

Governed by a Board of Directors, the NJCHS serves over 2,000 members, the legal profession, historians, court personnel, school children, and the general public.

Deb is the first Idahoan to serve on the Board of Directors of the NJCHS and to take over its leadership as Chair.
