The Idaho State Bar’s November/December 2020 edition of its monthly magazine, The Advocate, has selected Givens Pursley partner Deb Grasham’s article entitled “Early Women Lawyers Who Helped Secure the Right to Vote in Idaho” as its “Featured Article.” The issue, which is co-sponsored by the Idaho Legal History Society and Idaho Women Lawyers, celebrates the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote. Deb’s article chronicles the efforts of Idaho suffragists in the late 1800s, including those of Helen Young (the first women admitted to practice law in Idaho) and Kate Feltham (the fifth woman admitted to practice law in Idaho).
