In a continuing effort to address health concerns over COVID-19, the Idaho Supreme Court has issued a number of orders modifying operations at all courts in Idaho. The Supreme Court’s most recent order states that “No jury trial shall commence in a criminal case before September 14, 2020, and in a civil case before December 1, 2020.” Previously, the Court entered an order suspending jury trials beginning March 23, 2020. Thus, if you have a matter that had previously been scheduled for a jury trial in 2020, your case has been impacted. The experienced litigation attorneys at Givens Pursley are working with clients to accommodate these changes and plan for the future as case scheduling and how trials will be conducted continues to evolve.
